Welcome Phil Tower to the SMS Team

I’m excited to introduce Greenville native and news junkie, Phil Tower, to our SMS team. Phil comes to us as General Manager with more than 30 years in the media business, if you count his high school days behind the mic at WPLB in Greenville. In his role with SMS, Phil will help guide the Publishing Division and work with the sales and editorial departments on collaborative projects with other divisions within the company. While most of Phil’s career has been in radio, he spent a lot of that time covering the news and also has years of management experience. But the news and trends in media aren’t just his job, they’re also his passion and he will be a great asset in helping us plan for the future. Phil lives just outside of Greenville with his two sons, Dominic and Gabriel. He has an affinity for this area and is very involved in community organizations including the St. Charles School, the Spectrum Health Foundation Board and the Greenville Area Community Foundation Board.
